Dorset supported its partners since May 2013, when we were asked to generate high quality information for the decision making process. Since then we have allowed the introduction of governance and controls that have taken the Company, its Partners and Board Members to a new level of understanding of the operation.

Our support has recently shifted to the assistance with new businesses, as well as adjustments in the current operation, in order to reach higher efficiency and corresponding impacts in profitability and cash generation.

Wendy's is a restaurant chain from the United States, founded in 1969 in Columbus, Ohio, by Dave Thomas.

Ranked amongst the biggest restaurant chains in the world, jointly with McDonald’s, Burger King and Subway, its current headquarter is located in the city of Dublin, Ohio, and has more than 6.5 thousand restaurants around the globe.

Dorset played an instrumental role in securing the brand, as our partner Ricardo was one of the co-founders of Wendy’s Brazil, and since 2013 we have actively contributed to the structuring process of the business model, leading the technical negotiations with Wendy’s top management in the US.

This was a highly complex project in which our team applied its deep technical knowledge in order to secure the brand of Wendy’s Brazil and respective investments, whose operations started July 14^th, 2016.

Dorset supported a profitable labour intensive business by raising funds for the continuity of the expansion of its operation. With strong recent growth, thanks to the opening of new units and entrance in new states of Brazil, the company needed to identify financial resources more adequate for its growth, considering the high costs of its existing capital structure.

Jamie Oliver is a notorious British chef, television personality and entrepreneur. Known for his use of natural and organic food, he has several restaurant operations in the UK and around the world.

Dorset supported the partners in structuring the business model for Brazil since its conception in 2012, considering all complexity and details of this operation still in early stage of development.

Our work provided a framework for the development of the business, besides anticipating essential aspects of the operation, allowing alignment amongst the partners in a professional way, contributing strongly to the initial viability of the operations.

Dorset has supported its partners since December 2013, when we were asked to support the transition process of the entry of the second generation in the management of the Company.

Since then, we have been involved with governance evolution and to support the expansion of the company in terms of its ten year plan, focusing on improving profitability and cash generation, with constant alignment with its Founding Partners, Management and Board.

Dorset structured the capital raise for the creation of a new business area with focus on innovation for a family owned group.

Funds raised amounted to c. R$ 10 million, completed with success in 2015: our work involved gaining a deep understanding of the operation, ensuring alignment with the vision of the capital provider and creation of scenarios in a technical way.

This action contributed to the viability of the strategic planning of the group, by laying the ground for a remodelling of its operation in the near future, with greater profitability for its product lines and growth in new business.

Dorset supported the main executive of a company in the distribution sector with revenues of around R$ 300 million in validating future scenarios according to the vision of its partners.

Our in depth technical support allowed to validate the possibility of future scenarios conceived, in order to align viewpoints and expectations thanks to a practical approach of the numbers.

The work performed served as basis for the Board to further develop the Company’s governance.

We acted in conjunction with the partners of a traditional family owned business in the civil construction industry in the definition of more integrated and dynamic ways to evaluate the performance of the company, based on international best practices.

Our involvement allowed more awareness to all involved minimising the disparities between the vision of each member, allowing alignment to all for the future planning of the business of the group.

Dorset supported the the founders, second generation and Board of waste management company with revenues greater than R$ 100 million in considering future scenarios for the business, through technical work that allowed the alignment of the visions in a practical and didactic manner.

Our activities allowed more awareness of the partners and board members with respect to the operation considering the perspectives of profitability, cash generation and future potential.

Dorset has supported projects of several groups of operators, including one of the most traditional pizza chains of São Paulo, an American casual dining chain established in Brazil, and operations of the holding of a local Celebrity Chef with strong expansion.
