Ricardo Di Giacomo Maluf - Founding Partner | Private Equity

Ricardo Giacomo Maluf

Graduated in Business Administration at FAAP, Board Certification by IBGC, the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance, with Corporate Finance Certification in the UK by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Ricardo is the founding partner of Dorset and acts as a Board Member to several mid and large-sized family owned businesses.

Ricardo is a certified fund manager by CVM, the local Securities Commission since early 2014.

Previous to the foundation of Dorset in February 2010, Ricardo worked for 2 years at the Corporate Banking area of Citibank, focused on large sized clients, in credit Analysis and Cash Management (1997-1999), worked for 6 years at PwC US and Brazil, in M&A (2000-2006), and 4 years in London supporting Private Equity transactions via financial modelling (2006-2010).

Some companies Ricardo supported throughout his career: Natura, Bunge, ABB, Siemens, GE Capital, Nomura, Caterpillar, Rede Globo (Globopar), TIM, Capgemini (CPM Braxis/ Unitech), EcoRodovias, Ford Motor Company, Borders (Paperchase), Au Bon Pain, Arsenal Footbal Club, Manchester City, Maersk.

Participates in restricted groups with other senior members such as the Comission of Board of Directors of IBGC, the Institute of Corporate Governance of Brazil, and the Regulatory Executive Comittee of ABVCAP, the local Private Equity & Venture Capital Asssociation.

Has been invited in the last few years to comment on solutions presented to institutions such as Bovespa | B3, FINEP, Insper, PUC.

Fernando Gonçalves

Joined Dorset in 2013, but started his career working with our Founding Partner a few years earlier.

Graduated in Business Administration at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP).

Between the years of 2009 and 2013 was in charge of strategic planning and finance activities in family owned businesses.

Has broad experience in operational value creation for mid-sized and Family owned business, and acts in Business Development.
